i quite like it too. only quibble i have is that there have been many many adaptations of the books, so perhaps a sentance like,
most recent adaptations have been filmed at, would need to be inserted. dont *think* i missed it!
well spotted

I'm guessing the locations listed are for the most recent adaptations. As Pride and Prejudice was a BBC production, we could link to the BBC homepage:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/drama/prideandprej.shtml
or the timeline in BBC Books:

It's a bit short, and disordered, in my opinion. I don't think it's ready to go into the guide.
Still, if it gets moved from here to the Flea Market, there's every chance someone could improve it...

My reaction to this is very mixed - yes, we should have an entry on Jane Austen, and yes, this covers the basic information, but no, I don't want it in the Guide as the definitive Jane Austen entry! It's a bit sparse, and doesn't convey any great enthusiasm for her work.
So, as I said, I have mixed feelings - I won't scream about it if it's picked, but I think that would be missing the opportunity of producing something better.

Perhaps this Entry should either be moved to the Flea Market, so someone can take it up, or moved back to the Entry so somebody can produce a new one... but I agree, in its current state it is not ready for the Edited Guide, or Peer Review.

I'm probably the least person to ask that question but anyway... how does this one fit into the row of

and

There is only one thing worse than being Gosho, and that is not being Gosho Posted Dec 4, 2002
As the author seems to have Elvised, and the concensus is that this needs more content, may I propose a move to the Flea Market?

I'm afraid I disagree, I think this entry has great potential. All it really needs is a bit more discussion of some of the key themes Austen explored.

I agree that the entry has great potential -- but sitting in PR isn't going to get the entry anywhere if the author isn't here developing on that. The material that needs to be added is really beyond the purview of a sub-ed, so I agree with the suggestion of moving to the FM. If somsone wants to act on the entry there, they can develop that potential to the point where it's actually ready.
