I'm currently bound up (I wish!) in real life with the school summer holidays and my sproglets are home for six whole weeks so I seldom have time to myself!

Kids are cool, ya just gotta party responsibly and tell them they gotta wait till they're 21. And when they see what a moron you are when you're buzzed up, maybe they'll think twice about partying themselves.

Cloughie! You're back! How's your love life (still blossoming I hope)?
I don't think that our sproglets have ever seen either of their parents plastered as our son, Chris is autistic (but an absolute sweetie!), so one at least one of us has to constantly keep our wits about us (John is frequently comatose with medication though, but I suppose that doesn't count!). 
Mind you, things are much easier now that Mair is 14 and can legally baby sit and be left at home on her own. However, we would never leave her for too long with Chris as it is quite a large responsibility.

Gees.....you Brits are such...er, such...ahm...such lightweights!
"Our" kids (here in the States) get out of school in June & return for 1 day the 2cd week of Sept. & the following week start the school year. Then they have days of for: Martin Luther King Day,
President's Day, teacher conferences (3-4 x's pr yr), 3 weeks off for Christmas...also the school closes for fog-snow, or are delayed a few hours until the buses can run. (a real bummer for the kids that walk to school only to find no one there) Then they have Fri. thru Tues. off for Memorial Day...then a bit more school & boom it's Summer again.....3 months... Oh, & when deer season opens, children holding a hunting permit are allowed to miss school. They allow (I believe it's 3 sick days also).
And farm children are alowed to leave early or come late if they have late wheat, corn or straw to ready for Winter feed.
I JUST found THE perfect little sign to put under the one next to the front door!!! The sign reads: NO SOLICITING OF ANY TYPE THIS INCLUDES BIBLE THUMPERS! YES, THE CAMERAS ARE REAL & SO IS THE DOBRMAN! *NOW IT SHALL INCLUDE):
