Never happened during my 2 years almost daily conversation with John-the-Gardener that innocent words would need moderation!
What have I done? If there would be something I could guess, but no clue.
Who is the moderator and how did this come about? I would appreciate to know. bird Thank you very much.

Hi Blue Bird
Hopefully you will have realised by now that the whole site was on premod during some industrial action at the BBC yesterday.
<./>announcements</.> has the details and it is well worth subscribing to that page as all site related downtime is reported there

G'day, Bluebird, Mort.
Mort - a question for you, please - you're an Ace-y type bod, aren't you?
I realise The Threads and "all" of us were on pre mod yesterday... but none of my postings appear to have been cleared yet - and none of the replies to any of my postings have been cleared yet either. (every single one is currently "Hidden" )
I'm wondering - assuming THIS message isn't hidden, either- when things around here will get back to comparitive normality.

Hi there Evadne Cake,
I am indeed one of those Acey type bods!
The site is now off pre-mod status so all current postings will appear as normal. Unfortunately any postings made during the 12-hour premod time are in a queue to be cleared through the standard pre-moderation procedure.
So somewhere there is a group of moderaters frantically trying to wade through a long list of postings!
Hopefully it won't be too long before they get through them, but as posts are allocated individually to mods you may find that some posts in a thread appear before *and* after one that is still pending!

Thanks Mort
I guessed I was in a queue... when am I ever not? (rhetorical)
I hear there's going to be another "industrial action" at the Beeb, this time for 48hrs -if I can continue plaguing you, please
A) Any idea when its due?
B) If so, any idea if "Our" Threads will be affected again?
C) I know there was a memo around, but .. well... you know how it is... I just looked at the announcement of "strike" and "date"... I never bothered to read WHY the beeb is being particually striking.
If you've time and inclination, like to give a precis as to why there's a strike? Or a link for me to read up on. I cannent have an opinion if I haven't got the data!
Its a sad and terrible thing that.... no data!!!(Or not knowing where to FIND said data!)
No rush to reply, I guess you're still wading thru yesterday's postings and circling spelling mistakes and syntax errors... or sommat
Thanks in advance
Ev

Info about next weeks strike.

I don't know if it will affect us again although if I were to speculate then I would say it is likely that it will, since it will be the same unions involved.
If it does then it will be announced with as much notice as they can give us on the <./>announcements</.> page.
Although often in similar situations we never know for sure until the last minute as 'talks are ongoing'
Fingers crossed they can work something out.

You are a star, Mort - thanks very much indeed - now I can read at my leisure and get on (or off) my soap box as needs be!
Indeed, fingers crossed....

You are very welcome
I might have to have a back up plan of things to do next week - like housework and sorting out the junk in the little bedroom
Oh dear...

One man's junk is another bloke's treasure... apparently. (very deep, eh?)
I keep working on the theory housework is for other people...
Unfortunately, I keep tripping over the dust on the floor, so maybe it ISN'T an SEP, after all
I may possibly have to venture into RL next week in order to avoid having to find out if I'm right about that!
