I reckon we should have an H2G2 Dating system - something that indicates the 2 phases (or 3 if you inclued Rupert, H0G0 or whatever) I've started using one on my Home page to indicate updates
E.g. this was posted at 8:30 Day 2 B2CH2G2 Or how about AB (After Beebification)?

There should be one neutral dating system and one to express the taint that BBC has given h2g2, much in the way that A.D. and B.C. is a Christian dating system, and some neutral sap had to invent "Common Era" and "Before Common Era" to avoid showing preference for the Christian dating system.
How about The Glory Days and the Dark Ages?
(Americans can voice their disapproval for the Brit-ocentrism of h2g2 by refering to pre-BBC time period as "Back In The Day.")
