Getting a yikes'd post moderated and then restored?
Jerms - a Brief flicker and then gone again. Started conversation Jul 29, 2004
I know it's unorthodox, and possibly a dangerous precedent, but I'm wondering if there's any possible way that a posting which was removed can be bought back again - obviously without the bit which got it removed in the first place. Eg. any swearing or spitting taken out.
It's not for me, you understand, but I've been tantalised by the conversation at F1802808?thread=414117 , (an argument between the creators of hootoo) and I know that whatever was said in post four would have been enough to make them roll in the aisles... However I only have post five to go by. Is there any way I can find out what was said in post four? Mostly?
It wouldn't necessarily have to go back where it came from, but I'd just like to know.

That post hasn't been moderated. It looks like someone just saying that the post is moderated.
As for getting posts reinstated, well that is for discussion with the h2g2 editors. If you recieve an e-mail saying that your post has been edited / removed etc you can reply to it and start a discussion as whether it, or part of it, should be put back up. Obviously every decision will be at the editors discretion and allowing for their time in entering the debate / restoring the post.

Yes but it wasn't my post which was removed. I just want to know what it said, except for the bits which would require moderation.

As Greydesk said - it isn't actually a moderated post!
Someone has just written that for a joke. So you can actually see what has been said!

Buuuuuh...right. Okay. I see now.
Wait, no I don't.
That still doesn't make the next post any clearer. What was Yoz saying 'no' to then?

I've no idea what goes on in the minds of this site's developers
My only thought is that as these guys were the ones who helped build this place, they may still have rights to edit messages after posting them. But that's just a guess.

No, they can't edit posts, they were just fooling around!
I worked with them, mucking around like this is typical of them, it was just a joke about moderation. There was no moderation of the site when we were at TDV and the comments are typical of Yoz!
