Hi Dmitri, I've just got round to reading this.
It's certainly witty and entertaining but I can understand Jordan's complaint - it titillates as much as it informs.
I suppose it ought to send us out to read Gertrude Stein. But I have a feeling she was one of those people who are more show than substance.
A minor crit - I think the first sentence is a bit awkward and would benefit from being turned round.
