A clear winner for me this month: A47229230 Lobscouse: it provided light entertainment value across a broad range of English-speakers at the meet too, and the artwork is

Hi Shagbark
Thanks for voting, but unfortunately the Entry you have chosen was not first published in April 2009, so it isn't in the competition. It was re-featured on the Front Page during the month, which is why you saw it in the archive at A49333999. The recycled Entries which are NOT eligible are those with a ® in front. Hope this is clear.
Please could I ask you to choose another entry?

A47229230 Lobscouse, definitely.
This is what the EG is about: telling us something we don't already know and have an opinion about...with style.
And of equal interest to everybody.

I would like to vote for A47229230 Lobscouse as well. I don't think I'd care to eat it mind, but the cultural information was really interesting and had nothing to do with sports!
