Hello Gnomon
I recall seeing a TV programme on this bridge project, which was very interesting

Great entry!
Nothing to add (apart from one or two typos and a bit of repetition in the Turkish bit)

What a beautiful bridge, and a nicely written piece!

Does
"suspension bridge" describe it accurately? Because I simply couldn't visualize what you were on to until I saw the pic - and even then it's not the best pic on the web. Also, "series of curves" sounds nice, but made me think of something almost curlicuing. I thought the actual bridge looked more like three graceful arches.

No, a suspension bridge would be suspended by cables from (a) central support(s). I got a vague idea of the concept before looking at the picture, but I've imagined that type of bridge before from descriptions in books without ever having seen a picture of one.
Arches does sound more descriptive than curves, though. I would think of a curve going side to side, and an arch going over something.

I've changed "single graceful curve" to "single graceful arch". I've left the other references to curves as they are, since curviness is the most essential feature of this bridge.
Do you think that does it?

'>>the district of Galata (now known as Beyoglu)' (last para, Golden Horn)
--This seems a little redundant because it was established in the previous paragraph that Beyoglu used to be Galata .
--Description of the bridge much better now

Oops! I remember fixing that repetition about Beyoglu, but I musn't have clicked the Update button. Sorry. It's fixed now.

I get a star from Recumbentman every time I lose a kilo weight. But these four were lost through illness, so I feel a bit of a humbug.

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.

That looks OK, Schreck, except that there are two mistakes in the following:
Leonard's design was a strange in the extreme
Leonard --> Leonardo
was a strange --> was strange
