An enjoyable read - nice work
is calling someone a cannibal a common insult in turkey?
According to this site, the lake would have trout in it

Thanks for that link. I've now added that link to the entry.
I don't think 'cannibal' is generally commonly used as an insult in Turkey.

I was just wondering is all - out of all the insults one could choose, why that one?

It was a reference to Kevin Campbell's being black, and the idea that cannibalism is prevalent in Africa.

I see - it's just a redneck kind of insult - and you've already mentioned that they're akin to rednecks

Have you forgotten this, kzwg? I don't see much in the way of changes!

Why would there be any changes, when nobody has suggested any?

Yes they have - we've suggested adding more about tourist sites, a general description, etc. This led to the "if I may be allowed to cheat" bit that was since removed, but there's been nothing new to take its place...

This has been in Peer Review since May 8th, and appears to have stalled.
The author also has two other entries in PR in similar conditions. Scout or author thoughts please?

Well, the main reason is time.
My life is a cycle of going to work, coming home, sleeping, looking after a baby, and going to work. While at work I can post the odd comment on threads, but nothing more. At home the baby gets cross if I venture near the computer. Seriously, I cannot sit down and ignore the baby while composing this entry: a cacophony of protest will ensue.
Plus, what I wrote about Trabzon is mostly what I remember without having to do extra research. It's from my own experiences of the place. Isn't it ok as it is? If not, and someone else wishes to pad it out, then I wouldln't mind if they had the time and the desire to do so.

I'm afraid that it's going to have to be more thorough if you want it to become an EGE.
Since you don't have the time to research right now, perhaps you'd like to pull it and get back to it when the baby's bigger?

I'm not sure that I'm going to have that much more time for a long time, to be honest.

Hmmmm. That could be a problem, then. I honestly don't think that this can be picked as it stands.
Perhaps the best solution is to submit it to the Flea Market, then make sure you join the PR thread if someone picks it up, because you know the place.

Ok, I'll put it in the flea market then.
What will happen to it there?
