Wowbagger Posted Jan 9, 2001
What I want to know is... whose Thursday will it be?
I mean it's Thursday in Australia a long time before it's Thursday in say New York. Did the Vogons take into acount the international dateline?

HHHMMMM....
Thursday is the day after tomorrow....unless you're Wowbagger, in which case that would be tomorrow......
Ya' suppose they can actually only get half of us at a time!!!! I wonder if the earth would wobble with half of it gone?
Couldn't they just do away with one half...leave the other half in place? Seems that would give 'em enough room for a throughway! I mean....the earth really isn't all that big!
Wheres' my towel? I think I'm going to be needing it!
"Oh, just looking for flying saucers," he would joke, and everyone would laugh and ask him what sort of flying saucers he was looking for.
"Green ones!" he would reply with a wicked grin........(From "The Hitchhikers' Guide to the Galaxy")

on the plus side though it would mean that i don't have to worry about taxes and the fact that the outside firm we hired to help set up my new office program didn't set the payroll part up correctly...but on the minus side, thursday is payday! it means i won't get to enjoy watching another cheque fly away before i even get to admire it .
*starts fidgeting with the corner of her towel while watching the skies nervously*

Don't worry, Monsy. I'll let you know what it looked like just before it left!
(Have we got a spare towel? Never hurts to overpack!)

Excellent news in this morning's (Thursday's) paper. There were less earthquakes than usual in NZ in 2000. (We average about 300, mainly smaall ones, per year)
Ooops, does that mean the BIG one is building up power... stay posted

I think Monsy and I might have a spare towel if you need one, Loony!
I'd say you'd best be careful or you'll slide off into the ocean(California style)...........but you're already there!

Friday here.
Has the world ended?
I haven't noticecd anything yet.
Perhaps The world has already ended and I was too swept up in my own life to notice it.
Me me me. That's all I think about.

Holland still appears to be here... although I haven't seen much of the outside these past few days...
However, if the world ends now, just think of all those back issues you guys won't get to read! ROFL

I think the world might have ended actually... but it appears to have been only a momentary glitch.

Well it certainly has a "suspend" mode. Tends to kick in about half an hour before dinner time.
