I can't believe the threads I've just read about your article on the 27th letter. They make me as sad as your article makes me happy. I would encourage you to take them all to task with a scathing article titled 'Is Irony Dead - the New Silence Without Laughter' ..or some-such.
I suspect Dr Johnson may have contributed to the sabotage of its reception. He's been quite grumpy ever since Boswell published without a thorough edit.

In short ..I thank you.
In the long run however I look forward to even more.
On a point of information, now that I have your attention, and we seem to be out of earshot of 'the others'..
What is your understanding of the "scores" they put on entries. If you search a subject they seem to list the entries by a numeric score. The 'Editted Entries' always have higher scores but even non-editted ones are scored. How is this score arrived at?

The h2g2 search engine works in a similar manner to other internet search engines. It rates entries on how closely they match the words entered by people in the search engine.
The rating formula is probably biased more towards Edited Entries than others.
I could also be totally wrong. If you ask the question at the "Feedback" page (or ask one of the Gurus at their home page) you will probably get a more exact answer.

A search engine count! Maybe.
When I entered the exact title of one of my 'un-editted entries' it came tenth after several entries without the keyword in the title.
And it scored only 27%
It looked to me like they were grading them.

A very good article, Loonytunes.
There really should be an O with an X over it, to donate "kiss & cuddle"{I text my daughter a lot}
John I can assure you the entries are not graded, I've tried searching for my own entries. Take Giordano Bruno, for example. Recommended in June, still not edited. Pre-Peer Review. You try searching for it! It doesn't exist! Yet it's there, on my page, as large as life

Some subs seem to sit for ages on the yarns sent to them. You could mention the delay to Anna, on her home space

Actually Anna was emailed before Christmas about it, by two Scouts, on my behalf!
I'm on a roll, that's 2 recommended, today! Bruno & Tutankhamun...
This is great fun. Keep up the good work, guys!

Back to the original topic - Looneytunes excellent article 'the 27th letter' and the unfriendly reception it has received by some - I refer you to a suggestion at http://www.h2g2.com/A506675 in support of an Alternate Galaxial Guide for Hitchhikers (AGGH).
