There's a section in the Character Creation page entitiled "Elementlists" ... but you are right. It isn't very well defined. Actually, the Shadow Elementalist class is still sort of under development, and what you do with it can have quite a bit of influence.
However, remember these ground rules.
* All abilities have well-defined limits. Shadow elementalists can, sort of apply pressure and also "suck" or the opposite of pressure wimiply by thinking it. This can be used to lift objects into the air, to kill people and to levitiate one's self. (but not to fly)
* Shadow does not = evil.
* Shadow elementalists can see perfectly in complete ordinary darkness, but not in magically-induced darkness.
* Shadow elementalists are particularly vulnerable to Holy and Lightning attacks.
* Shadow elementalists can't be poisoned.
* Shadow elementalists cannot speak while using their gravity poweres.
there are other guidelines but I can't remember them all at the moment ... I have them written down somewhere ... Nerd42

Thanks for that, Nerd.
I wasn't necessarily thinking of Shadow as equivalent to evil, more sort of the kind of person that sinks into the background and doesn't get noticed easily. Though if this is the case, I wonder why so vulnerable to 'holy' attacks.
Reminds me a fair bit of some Final Fantasy monsters, actually... usually the sort that are end-of-scenario bosses. Don't know why but Sephiroth from VII and Anima from X particularly spring to mind. I could be barking up the wrong tree entirely, however!
What was the verdict on Shadow Elementalist Ranger, btw?

I still think it should be more of a "I can control the shadow on a building to teleport inside or a short distance, can make a shadow shield (think Raven from TT), and do the gravity thing."

Well, you wouldn't have "Ranger" ability in the sense that Warriors and Thieves can have it, but yes a Shadow Elementalist would probably be pretty good at tracking things.
And yes, as far as blending in and not being noticed, as I said before I think, Shadow Elementalists can turn themselves mostly invisible.
The trouble is, their shadows still appear ... Nerd42

Ah. I was reading it more as an ability to blend in shadows and disappear in dark places. Similar to Nightcrawler in X-Men. Not 'au fait' with Teen Titans myself, so can't comment on Raven.
Being able to make oneself invisible except for a shadow is very ; best to try that on a cloudy day when shadows are not so sharp in the first place I reckon.

Yeah, uh Raven is something almost like what I'm talking about yeah. Except Raven shouts some kind of weird
incantation or something when she does anything, and Shadow Elementalists have to remain completely silent whilest doing anything like that.

One thing you have to understand about elementliasts - weapons don't help them fight. Your character can use weapons if that helps them focus their talent, but attacks using weapons by elemetalists won't be any more effective than attacks without them.
Furthermore, the special/magic abilities aren't for elementalists. Elementalists are basically the most focused class there is and haven't much room for extra stuff.
But they sure are earthshaking when they attack with their element...
With that understanding, you're both accepted ... unless you want to change anything? (other than what I've already said) Nerd42
