I am a school techie in the UK. We are nowhere near as organised here as you seem to be. The production doesn't usually hit the stage until about two weeks before opening night, which is at most two nights away from last night. I think that you actually have theatres in schools in the USA. We use a stage at the back of an assembly hall. If seating is required just raid chairs from anywhere in the school. Great to be involved though.

Nope
I went to school in the UK. We had a purpose built 2,000 seat theatre, with flying towers etc.
It was great. Of all the thing I miss from school that is the one i miss the most.
IT sounded almost identical to what you do in the US
