Hi Jimi. This sounds like a great idea and something needed for some of the articles.
If you get time would you try updating the above, Famous Film Quotes.
I found a number of additional quotes after the article was accepted and it would be great if they could be included in the 'official' version. This is something I've meant to ask TPTB but never got round to it.
The additions can be found at the end of the original article listed under 'The Directors Cut'

Thanks for taking this on, I'll look forward to the amended article.
Just a couple of points though. I winnowed out from the forums (forae?) the amendments that I thought should go into the article and included them in the Directors Cut. I didn't intend to give you a massive job sorting through that lot. .
The majority of quotes sent in by other researchers may well have been their own personal favourites but I didn't think that they fitted in with the point of the article as being 'In the public conciousness'. That is to say that 'everyone' knows the quote. 'frinstance: 'Frankly my dear I don't give a damn' wins out every time against say: 'will somebody clear the room, there's too many people in it'
On that basis there were a number of the quotes included that I thought twice about putting in, so if you think any of them should come out please feel free to delete them.
There are three which are wrong which I hope you can adjust:
'Fasten your seat belts... etc came from the film 'All about Eve'
'Make like a tree and leave' should be 'Make like a tree and get outta here'
Come up and see me sometime' should be 'Why don't you come up sometime and see me' although the former is what everyone remembers.
The article raised an amazing (to me) response and it spawned another list of 'Famous Cliche Quotes'. It inspired 'Dickon' to list them out on a page which is here http://www.h2g2.com/A424667 Maybe it may be worth a mention in the Peer Review ?
