I don't know about you, but I'm completely overwhelmed when reading the very neat haiku lines in the other threads...
...and I've never tried it, but I'd like to...
...and I'm sure there are others like me...
...is there an already existing 'beginners' thread?

You know, your haiku don't have to be any GOOD 
Most of mine fall into the 'Good grief, someone wrote THAT???' category. 
Well done for your first haiku!

Wow! Someone actually noticed!
Well, after a few attempts I felt brave enought to join in one of the other conversations (forgotten which one)
After a couple of attempts it becomes easier, I think...

Ha...I'm still taping out syllables with my fingers...my sister walks in on me and my secret and cries "Haiku again!". It's a guilty shame, but I'm obsessed.
