Not for Americans, I don't think. Since you guys are on the other (some might say "wrong") side of the Atlantic, it'd probably take a while to load anyway. Transmission time and all that.

Besides, I'm not giving up what might soon be my new computer.

Only if you bring Mina with you.

My current computer is crap, too. So's the one at work. Funny thing is, there's this big upgrading program to upgrade "everyone's" computer to Pentium III 600 MHz models. I say "everyone" because "everyone" doesn't include me. I'm crammed away in a spare cube with a computer that technically doesn't exist, as far as my company's concerned.

Woo-hoo.

You're right about the two subjects of the thread at the same time, Wampus, but it does make for interesting reading.

I wouldn't mind at all if Meg Ryan stopped by for a visit for Christmas.smiley - smiley If she can't make it,though, I still be delighted if I got that Irish girl, walking around at work, looking all gorgeous all the time.

I would like my computer here at work to get upgraded to at least Windows 95 instead of this crappy OS/2 that we're running now.

Hmm, let's see.
I'd like a new PC, a new stereo, a widescreen TV, a new digital camera that takes pictures at a higher resolution than 640x480, 10 million pounds in used notes and a ticket to the Bahamas.

Yes, actually. The weather where I am is pretty mild, and sunny about 75% of the year. Not quite so warm as Los Angeles or San Diego, but it's getting there.

so's mine. my solution to this problem is to go down to the local library and use their computers, since they are so much faster and don't use Bl*elight. it's free and much faster, but i get kicked off sometimes. solution to this? hide the sign in sheet with my arm and hope no one is RUDE enough to actually check to see how long i've been on and make me get off. there's no such thing as smiley - online2long

I suppose you could go around snipping cables if you really wanted. You could call it a manual bandwidth reallocation.
