Well, looking at the title - it really is a persuasive essay. If it could become more like a piece about pole dancing and its development from strip-club entertainment to mainstream exercise, that would be better for the Guide.
As it stands, it is opinion and therefore doesn't belong in the Guide. Plus, having finally taken a look at some pole dancing on YouTube, I am thoroughly unconvinced. Those videos were the closest thing to porn I've ever viewed. 
Wait a sec - they probably *were*.

It's your choice whether you want to put the effort into it or not. Why don't you put it back into the FM, in case there's someone who wants to do more research? You should still be credited as co-author.
