Long-haired Celt seeks Amazonian hairdresser to yomp through peat bogs and shout obscenities at the sky. Hair is long. Let's make is shorter.

Well, I have used scissors but never cut hair...

On the other hand I can give you the number of a really great hair dresser, and just go in for the yomping and shouting.

Are you particular whether it is good weather or raining?

Not at all. It's easier to shout obscenities at the sky when it's chucking stuff at you. When it stops you get a real sense of achievement.

Cooler too, in every way.

Am I the only person who marches towards automatic doors, pointing a finger of power at them, and loving it when they open?

How wet are the peat bogs, just now? And does the whole thing end up with a good strong drink in a nice warm pub? smiley - stout (This is an important question).

Pretty damn soggy. We've had a lot of rain here.

Why else would you go yomping through the peat bogs - other than to get to the pub on the other side?

I assumed you meant Irish peat bogs; are there peat bogs in Yorkshire too?

So pleased. It is a small thing, but it always makes me feel so good!

Tried it over the weekend. I have to say the finger of power is an amazing thing...

We sort of have peat bogs in Yorkshire. They're actually more like peat moors - and all are owned by Fisons, so yomping over them is a little more tricky.

There's a rather soggy patch of common ground nearby, if that's any use?

Soggy ground.... most of the UK?

Another favourite game is driving on country roads under the full moon with no headlights. You dont often get perfect conditions - straightish country lane, not too overgrown with trees and hedges, a clear sky and a full moon and no oncoming traffic.

But when you do....

Definitely. In fact, all of the UK.

How's Scandanavia?

Scandanavia is pretty soggy too - and busy - no time online.

Did you get the chance to drive under the full moon?

Unfortunately, have had more low level clouds to shout obscenities at recently. It's made the ground even more soggy, too.

Walked to work under the full moon this morning though. That was good (except it meant I wasn't safely tucked up in bed). Thought I saw the International Space Station, too. But it could have been just an ordinary satellite.

Working too hard... Not a good plan. Even less of a good plan when you can't get time online. But still, huge full moon-fest, I suppose at this time of year...

I enjoyed that full moon too. The sky actually cleared up enough for me to see it.

It isn't the hard work... it's the fact that I can't get on-line in the evenings. So lots of h2g2 over the next 3 weeks.

Solstice on the 21st, and then it is lighter and brighter from there on smiley - smiley
