I like the inifinite improbability drive feature where you are linked to a random entry in the guide. However, I also like meeting new people and seeing who's on the site and what they're interested in. I think it would be pretty awesome to have a feature similar to the one that links you to a random guide entry, but instead links you to a random personal space. It would allow a chance for people to meet others that they have something in common with to share thoughts. I don't know how feasible this is or anything else, just something that I think would make the site all that much more interesting.

The problem is that several hundred thousand people have registered, but that only a few thousand are active, and maybe a few more thousand were active but aren't any more.
The "Who's Online" provides a part of this feature, if you want to use it.
Or, indeed, why not link to the author of the entry that you reach when you click on the Infinite Improbability Drive.

Mr. Dreadful - But really I'm not actually your friend, but I am... Posted Aug 12, 2005
It's a good idea but unfortunately there are far too many one-stop wonders and blank Spaces to make it worth while.

Perhaps the cult of n*********r would sit hitting the random user button until their deity came up.

I like the idea of going to a random journal entry, if it can take you to one that's reasonably current, not one that's 4 years old...

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
