A Conversation for Talking Point: Your h2g2
Deleting Multiple Convos Simultaneously

I know that I am not alone in this. Frequently, one's PS will become clogged with convos that one has long since gotten bored of reading, or that have shown up for whatever reason and the researcher has no inclination to post there; for example, I am subscribed to the Forum, and I reguarly hear about various threads that Idon't really care about. For this reason, would it be possible to introduce a feature where we can unsubsribe from several convos in one fell swoop? the following works on a number of other sites:
Each thread one is subscribed to has a tickable box bext to it. At the bottom is a "Remove all checked threads" button; when this is clicked upon, those nasty dull threads vanish from the PS. Why can't we have this in h2g2?

I would second this. It would make working through the backlog a lot easier. Even just an "unsubscribe" tick-mark in the pop-up convo box would really help. By opening the "unsubscribe" link on a new page you could get through a significant number of unsubscriptions very quickly.

Please yes!
Incidentally, the most effective way I have found to do this is to use Opera or Firefox, both of which give you an 'open in new tab' option if you right-click on a link, and Brunel, which lists the conversation links most neatly in the "show more postings" page. You can optionally change "show=25" to "show=100" in the URL, and click on the Xes to remove the conversations, opening the link in a new tab, which keeps it all neat and tidy. You can close the each tab saying "you have been unsubscribed from this conversation" fairly quickly and easily.
It is still time consuming as though.
