i was surfing at caton bay near scarborough, when my son martin fell downward into the water and put his hand in the sand. it was then that he was stung by a weaver fish. we ran immediatley to the out side shower and put his hand under the hot water for as often and as long as he could stand the pain. after ten minutes the pain stated to subside, twenty minutes later it just felt minor pain , swollen and numb. his fingure was swollen and stiff for a couple of days.
