Is it just the Royals ?

The phenomana known as "It's all mine" may not JUST rely on being Royal as many of them (and it's difficult to obtain the true parentage of many) are from Germany and Europe.
For many years now the Brits,in particular let me point out the English; have had this unerring sense of taking land not belonging to them. Half of Africa, America, Australia, the Asia's !! All which have been, at one time or another, under the control of the British Government/Monarchy. Now that the Worlds "pinkness" has shrunk to....well...just about the UK and a few small islands just off South America, the British still believe that the World would be a better place if they were still running it.
Maybe people would agree if the map makers had chosen a better colour than PINK...how about a nice Turqouise Boss ?

Assuming you're an American:
'Manifest Destiny was just a cloak for the less edifying ideas of Imperialism, greed and genocide'
Sorry I've had to learn that for my history a-level.
Practically every country and people have tried to take things that don't belong to them. In this century more than others. Maybe its some sense of Pre Millenial Tension

Assume nothing, for I am a Brit, English to be precise..and quite proud really that we don't want much of Europe, except their cheap beer, wine and cigarettes !

Hmmmmm... 'Twas no problem to tell he's a Brit. All you have to see is how he "misspelled" color!
Taking over large areas of Earth? I believe the newest term for that occupation is "International Corporation", isn't it? The new kings(C.E.O.'s) don't relocate your head, though. Just your assets!

That's allright, Webster fixed our spelling over here back in the late 1700's. He fixed it so we could legally misspell most of the words in the English language!
World domination WAS in the hands of IBM until Bill and Steve fixed that. Sometimes I wonder which is worse!

Would you, by any chance, like to have an assistant World Dictator? I've always said if you can't beat them, join them!

I might have a deputy - but so many people want the job I'll have to rotate you
I'm going to be a nice dicator
