Well yes, Everybody Wants to Rule the World (good idea for a song). If you play Age of Empires or any other conquest game, it's funny how soon the pattern emerges. A few villagers happily foraging for berries along the banks of the Nile (or Euphrates or Po) and then BANG! along come a bunch of Libyan (or Assyrian or Etruscan) axemen and beat their brains out. This of course calls for vengeance. And so on.
Not surprising what kind of people emerge at the top of the pile when you look at the ground rules.
