Don't admire me! I love the little rugrats! And I got to play house, and store, and color Easter eggs, and eat brownies, and pizza, and make Scooby-Doo jewelry, and get hugged a lot!

Kids are great, when they are not your own, and you can hand them back.

My uterus gave up the for them ... no point in dusting out the cobwebs now ... that's why I borrow my nieces!
(I thought I'd give El the cobweb visual just to really skeeve her out!)

Shea the Sarcastic Posted Apr 15, 2001
Envy away! I hope you're envious about the fun, and not about the cobwebs ...
It *was* a lot of fun! I love borrowing my nieces! They're 8 and 4. When I mentioned I'm planning on taking a holiday to England this summer, the 8 year old wanted to come! I told her to hold off until the Egyptian pyramid trip! Her eyes went very wide at that one ...
It's being the aunt!

Dragonfly, will you borrow my 8-year-old son?
I promise you ~will NOT~ want kids after you've had a day or two of his company.
Shea, will you adopt me?
Please ignore me girls, I'm having a small breakdown here.
We've just had a whole week off school, and we have ~another~ 8 days to go...
I can feel my sanity slipping away...
~and~
I don't see my man until next Friday night!

They can also be really fantastic; I've got two myself!
I always look forward to holidays with them; but they can also be difficult.

Yin and yang.... you can't have a completely good thing. Well, maybe you can... I certainly hope you can... I've yet to find a completely good thing, aside from h2g2 and my friends!!! ... That was a bit redundant...

Sure! I'll adopt you, GB! Bring your Tardis so's we can play, okay? And you can swim in the pool, and I have Italian Ices in the freezer, and juice boxes all waiting for you! I have lots of coloring books and crayons, and a whole shelf of books with pretty pictures in them! If you're careful, I'll even let you play on the computer!
To skeeve is to 'gross-out', be disgusted ... guess it's another Noo Yawk-ism, isn't it?
