So why is abbreviation such a long word? And while we're on the subject, why is dyslexia so hard to spell - it has to be the cruelest word in the English language ... I feel a posting on words coming on.

And am I alone in thinking that "quotidian" is the least everyday word in the English language? And "vernacular" is hardly more apt.

I bow to your vocabulary - I had to look up quotidian (although I think I've come across the same word in French) - hilarious!
So what's the most useless word in the English language? (and please don't say superfluous)
