I regret to inform you - the Towers have decided to close this page.

I was always proud of the fact - this was one of the only places Aces and Angels met up and worked together.

All that has now gone and the newcomers can now be greeted at:

The new automated page

Thanks for all your support in the past and I will no doubt see you around h2g2

Catch you on the flip side

smiley - erm Just had a look at the new page, and discovered there's no forum... means there's no way of letting others, GAs or ACEs, know which newcomers have been welcomed...

...and how many of us have the time and the patience to check up ALL newcomers to see if they've been welcomed or not - by anyone?

I'm afraid this will mean that there will be even less of us engaged in welcoming...smiley - sadface

...meaning there will be newcomers who will not receive a welcome...

...usually I'm an optimist, but this doesn't look promising...smiley - erm

Did you see the right page, Titania?
Its http://www.h2g2.com/NewUsers
I've been there, and you can select the newest users.
Those with a star at the side of their name, have activated their page, those with two stars have had at least one greeting.
So you only have to click on their name, to see who has greeted them!
This is a much better way, as we don't have to take out blocks of ten, not even log them out.
We may even get more helpers...smiley - biggrin

There is also a link to those who joined h2g2 between the 4th and 17th of November. You can tell who you have already visited by the colour of the links.

Sorry I was not around much just before Christmas but I think you may have guessed. I was busy sorting and delivering to my customers, their Christmas Fruit & vegetables.

A new list is up. If you have the time to pop over to check em out, I would appreciate it.
