Here's a tune thatwould work, with modifications:
time signature: 4/4
Unless otherwise noted, the notes are all eighth notes.
Tempo: whatever
The key is C, just to establish what the shape of the tune is. Transposition into other keys depending on your singing range is fine.
E/G/C/E/D/A/G/F/
E/G/C/E/D[quarter note]/[eighth rest]/D/
G/C/F/B/E/A/D/C/
B/C/D/E/D[quart. note]/[eight rest]/G/
E/G/C/E/D/A/G/F/
E/G/C/E/G[quart. note]/F/E/
A [quart. note]/D/E/F [quart. note]B[quart. note]/
C[half note]/[half rest]
Some notes will have to be made into sixteenth notes to get all the syllables in. This will be different from verse to verse.
This is why it's so hard to do music in a visual format...

Are the B's above or below middle C?

Great idea, BTW! Then, if you're in some exotic locale, and you hear your tune, you'll know it's somebody from the MotMV. Like a secret sign.

Oh, drat! The lines are supposed to go up and down.....
Let me figure something out to make it clearer.

I've found a demo music-writing programme you might want to try:
http://www.tucows.com/preview/332499
(The demo is free for 30 days. If you have a place to store it, we could do an external link???)
I'll keep looking.

This one looks better. And it's completely free.

Me, too - maybe I'll work on it after I've mastered PowerPoint.

I have an electronic keyboard and lots of music score paper. My usual method is to write the melody and accompaniment in pencil, then photocopy it on a dark setting, to get the final score. My right arm is very sore now from lifting too many books last week and drivi8ng too much this past weekend. Once it starts to heal, I can start writing the music...

Most of the time, resting such injuries for five days does the trick. Here's hoping that will be the case here.

I'm getting sore at this museum I'm volunteering at, because they have to keep moving me from one computer to the next, and I'm getting mouse-finger fatique.

Been there, done that.
When I first got my computer, I played 25,000 games of computer solitaire (Free Cell, specifically). That damaged my shoulder.

Like the museum's excel spreadsheets. I'm going to wake up in the middle of the night because I'm trying to figure out what classification of artifact a gavel is.
