Pierre de la Mer ~ sometimes slightly worried but never panicking ~ Posted Jul 31, 2014
Same here, Teasswill, but little difference does it make. Right now there are zero hitchhikers online
(according to who's online on pliny/firefox)

When talking to friends and family, I usually refer to you people as "my imaginary friends who live inside the internet". The internet *is* somewhere, right?

Some of us are more imaginary than others... or so I've been lead to believe... some are.... Or so it would seem, very much real, and solid... creatures
Mind. who am I trying to kid... I've been trying to prove that I'm no longer in a coma, for over a decade... err, nearly two in fact... and still can't 100% determine that I'm not still in a coma... scarey... or just weird... maybe only the ham[p]ster's really know, at the end of the day... whenever that might be

Logged in on Brunel, moved to Pliny, checked who's online, found '0 hikers online', refreshed repeatedly, same result, moved back to Brunel, found 333 researchers online.
Meanwhile, 2legs, w/reference to your grandma's insights on eels and Nighthoover, has that any relevance to Mrs. Rumford's recipe for baby baked harmoniums from Kurt Vonnegut's "The Sirens of Titan"?

We are all figments of 2legs' imagination and he is still in a coma. That explains a lot. I feel better knowing that.
At the moment - really early in the morning here - an hour earlier still in the UK - there are 458 researchers on line. And most of them I have never heard of. I am tempted to click on a few to find out who they are and when they last posted. Although that is never right either. "Last posted on...." it boldly says on their space, then the first conversation in their list in which they are/were active shows that they posted at least 2 months later than that date.

Great! . I never know if I am coming or going ~ ~ But right now I am here? or no where ? ~ It is 10:45PM, Thursday, July 31, in my part of the world almost half a world a-way from most of you. .. ... . .. ...

~10:55pm PDT, Th 31 July 2014 in southern California where I am at the moment.
For Greenwich Mean Time, subtract an hour for daylight savings time from Pacific Daylight savings Time; 9:55pm Pacific Standard Time, add eight hours for the time zone difference between CA and the UK, 1 hour for every time zone eastward (the sun rises in the east); 9:55pm PST + 8:00h = 5:55am GMT; since that's after midnight, the date in The UK is F 1 Aug 2014.
Don't hesitate to correct me if I make a mistake.
People who can and will if I do are an important part of the reason I'm here at this site.
