How many ID's do you have on hoo too?
ChiKiSpirit Started conversation Oct 22, 2006
Strangely strange was complaining, yesterday, about people having more than one ID or changing their names on hoo too.
I freely admit I have more than one ID, I have one that I use at home and another that I use when I'm out in the library or the business centre.
If you have more than one ID please feel free to share your reasons with me and everyone else.

Sorry but I wasn't complaining about multiple IDs or people changing names, what I asked, along with some others, was that when you change your name around for anagrams, etc games is that you put your original name in brackets for complicated more serious discusssions so we all know who we are talking to.

I find it easier to avoid serious discussions.
bTW: Gnomon is a real person. He does actually exist. I've met the Gnomon.

I have more than one account, one to deal with prats and another to practise my Guide ML, without you lot laughing at me..

I just have one ID but a couple of years ago I started a new one temporarily (using the same name) when I forgot my password and was blocked from my usual account for a few days.
I think Strangely Strange's request was quite a reasonable one, that people having fun with Halloween anagrams, etc, post their 'real' hootoo name on the more serious debate threads. If they don't want to put it next to their changed nickname they could simply sign the posts they make on these specific threads with their usual nickname.

I only have one. Actually, technically I have two, but this one I started after I forgot the log-in info to the first one, so I don't use it anymore. Just as well, it was quite embarrassing.

I have only the one echomikeromeo ID, but I've also the Post Team persona to keep track of.
I've found that if you have two IDs, having two browsers helps. I'm signed into echomikeromeo on Firefox (which I normally use) and Post Team on Camino.

Hello echo, sometimes it is better to have more than one depending on what is going on. See the Ladye Seagull one, that's me, or my sixth-sense might be a better way of putting it. I don't like using that one too much because she is usually the bearer of bad news.
If I were you I would try to avoid her, she usually foretells death, destruction or mayhem. Just a little friendly warning...

I have only the two accounts, ... this one and an old one who's time had passed. But I do find it interesting as well that some folks have multiple accounts, to suit their various 'personae'.

ChiKiSpirit Posted Oct 23, 2006
Yes well, they've been through most of my yahoo messages and two of my mobile phones...and stolen most of my poetry so there isn't really very much left for them to do. It's a pity there aren't more kind and helpful people here. Where should we go to look for them?

Oh, there are plenty of good hearted and helpful people around here. I've met several dozens of them. There will always be some that you later find aren't who you thought they were. But that's just life anywhere, isn't it? Usually, those can be disreguarded and discounted.
