Creativity H2G2 Album ??!

Would not it be nice, if someone at H2G2 would create a "Creativity-Album-Entry", where everyone can put óne photo out of his/her collection????
Just like there is also a photo-album.
I don't have the know how to do that.
Hope someone brings it up in the community.
I'll copy this message a few times around H2G2.
Greetings from Amsterdam

Copying and pasting the same message in different places across h2g2 is considered spamming, and is a violation of the House Rules -- definitely not the way to get an idea considered by the powers that be.
The italics have previously announced that a plan is in the works to allow researchers a way of submitting or uploading graphics and photographs.

I firmly disagree with your interpretation of the house rules

Mikey, is that photos and graphics in general i.e. people can put them in their PS? I thought the italics were generally agin this idea.

Alfredo, it's not my interpretation of the House Rules, it's that of the Italics, those in charge here. What you have done *is* considered spamming, and I will report it to the moderators if I see it happening again.
The project that will allow us to add some of our own pictures and graphcis is not underway yet -- until it is, no, we are not allowed to post our own pictures on personal spaces, etc. But it is the plan of the Italics that we will eventually be able to do so, at least on a limited basis.

Well, your achievement of this day;
Two pre-fabricated-"polite"-emails in my mailbox from the h2g2 "mind police".
Appearently, they don't have anything else to do, while I might think that the sect at h2g2 that ónly spreads black cats where ever they can without ever daring to really join a topic, should have more priority of "action".
My achievement - with the help of spreading the news and many members who dared to join, instead of mailing the "mind police" -
Gallery 42: The h2g2 Friends Art Gallery
see
http://public.fotki.com/Mudhooks/gallery_42/h2g2_friends_art_album/
And thanks to a very active h2g2 member, the h2g2 Friends Art Gallery
is fully under her command, free from the h2g2 mind police.
Quote;
"I would like to announce the opening of "Gallery 42" an online art gallery for h2g2 artists.
A number of us have been posting links to our various artistic works and have found that there is a considerable amount of talent in Hootoo-land.
At the suggestion of Alfredo, I opened Gallery 42: The h2g2 Friends Art Gallery on my own Fotki space. Mother of God has offered us our first exhibit piece, entitled "Terrorized". We will be holding a Vernisage in the near future (as soon as we figure out how to hold one on-line). The URL for Gallery 42 is http://public.fotki.com/Mudhooks/gallery_42/
Currently, there is one main gallery. However, I have hopes of opening galleries for various "special exhibits", for various media (photographic, ceramic, crafts, etc.). Anyone may submit work.
Currently, submission requirements are:
The work must be your own and must conform to copyright laws (i.e.; not using copyrighted material which to you do not have rights).
No obscene or pornographic work (Questionable material will be reviewed by a panel.)
I recognise that there may be work which has great artistic merit but which some might take offense to. I may, therefore, consider opening a special gallery for pieces which may be of an adult nature. This gallery would be accessible only by password.
Contributors should submit a photo of the work to mudhooks@(remove)gmail.com along with their name (the name they wish posted with the work, and a blurb about it. They should also note the media (pencil, oil pastel on paper, watercolour, etc.)".
Greetings from Amsterdamned.

There already has been an offsite gallery for a long while, so it's nothing new.
Also, Mikey is right. Posting the same thing around the site IS spamming and isn't allowed. We aren't necessarily the people who yikes these things. Just because we are both here doesn't mean we have gone and yiksed your posts. Posting the same thing on help pages, in the middle of conversations etc is not only rude but clogs up many people's convo lists with the same message. a better way of doing this would have been to just post in one place. Or find out if there was already an offsite gallery.
There is also no need to be rude when you are breaking the rules of a site and somebody points it out to you in the hope that you will stop. It's community politeness, not maliciousness.

Alfredo, Mikey is entirely correct in this interpretation of the House Rules. Reposting multiple copies of the same message is spamming. Please don't do it again.
