It is strange, under WW2 entries its just normal stuff, the kind of discussions you would find on here, not WW2 stuff at all. Maybe we are all there, I do hope not.

Bloody hell, I am there. Whats the point of having pages in the WW2 section for all of us, when only a small proportion write about the subject. It demeans the WW2 site, doesn't it?

Your personal space is visible to all DNA sites...
For example...
http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/u42
http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/hub/u42
http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/collective/u42
http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/getwriting/u42
http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/360/u42
etc...
It's not a duplicate of your space, all the sites use the same database, meaning when and if you post to another site you don't have to create a new page...
The only time it'll actually be visible to someone in WWII etc is if they either type your U number into the browser or you post to the site and someone clicks on your name
If you specifically want your personal space to look different to the users of other site, use the tag...
for an example...
http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/u180644
my page as it looks to an h2g2 user
http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/hub/u180644
my page as it looks to users of all other sites

Hi Whisky, I did know that from the dark and distant past, it just seemed weird to be on the WW2 site, with a section for my WW2 articles which were nothing to do with the war. If you were only interested in the war, you might be a bit puzzled by all the contributors who contributed nothing on the subject.

Probably one of the reasons why there's no link to "who's online" in WW2... I'd imagine that apart from the odd hootoo researcher that crossed over from time to time (me for example) the WW2 users are probably blissfully unaware that we're all here. Looking at the traffic levels they get I doubt most of them are into messing around with URLs to try and find us... (Their search engine seems to be restricted to WW2 entries too).

That makes sense, it could be puzzling if they started exploring whos on line and wondered what was going on!
