what is the meaning of life? What do you mean by that?
Thorn Posted Aug 8, 2005
Sometimes it is to make mistakes and learn from them. Take the strange dying/fading phenomenon of Western culture known as 'social dating'. Every 'romantic' relationship I've tried out has been rather sad (West coast slang meaning of lame taken in w/ that usage), short-lived and platonic. But w/ each monstrously stupid mistake that I make , it becomes all the more obvious later, so that I do not repeat that 1 over (sheesh). Eventually the chances are that I might start to run out of mistakes and actually get to go out on a first date (hopefully before I am forty-something). For ex: I learned that you should call back as to when within the first week or two of having set up one of the things, that no answer is an answer (loud resounding NO!), and that 'just friends' is usually neither just nor means actually really being friends again. That -And probably a million other useful things( sometimes the hard way). But i's all good. See what I mean now?

The other thing I learned is that for the most part in a lot of ways being a teenager rather does suck. Was feeling rather punk-ish while I was typing that.

NO!!! 42 is the ultimate ansewer to life, the universe and everything!! Like for instance:
Bill and Bob are talking about life, the universe and everything.
Bill: What is the meaning for everything
Bob: Well Bill, that would be the number 42!
Bill: Oh I get it!, everthing makes sense!! [Bill then died at the next cross-walk yelling about how black is white and up is down.]

It was a joke,- meant to be in jest . Not meant to be ingested.

Perhaps the sun is NOT gonna blow up in 3 billion years but perhaps it will in 42 billion year?!?! But what are the chances of that time frame from this second in time? But then again I run on "infinite improbability drive time" it makes my life a lot eaisier..........

42 bags. 6 days of creation in Genesis, then on the Seventh Day, ... In c.S. Lewis' the Chronicles Of Narnia, he has the animals agree that it would have been better if the Lord had stopped there on the 6th day. Who knows... Then Does anyone remember the "teaching primitive man, on the Earth Mk. 2, how to play scrabble"-incident From Life, The Universe, and Everything? ..
coincidences bearing strikeningly similar/familiar... [X-files theme plays in background. Nope, I'm not a fan, Have yet to see a complete "full" episode. ].

i got one coment to ad to all this jab abbout "the answer":
The answer: 42
The question: What do you get if you multiply six by nine
(SIX multiplied whit NINE is 54.
So it is as Arthur sais: "I allways said there was something fundamentaly wrong with the universe"
AND ITS TRUE! there is something wrong about this universe. It is huge and we only get to use a half of "I dont know how big it is, but it has to be a big number." It is fundamentally wrong.
And if we can find our answer on a similar way as Arthur, we search in the wind. (the song: "the answer my friend, is blowing in the wind.") So maybe the wind can come up whit the right answer to "the question?" it might eaven be 54...

Well, I tried dividing 42 by 2 over and over again and eventually it reached 0. Not that this has to do with the meaning of life but when you turn 42 you are "over the hill". Maybe you catch a glimse of the meaning of life when you turn 42.
