I know people have been using wireless PDAs to browse the site but I have no wireless data access, with it being 1) expensive 2) slow.
However, having recently got a 64Meg expansion jobbie for my handspring PDA, I got wondering how much of h2g2.com I could fit onto it. Its original 8Meg doesnt offer much scope, but 64Meg opens up a lot of possibilties. A lot of PDAs have large removable media cards now, so maybe we could really have a proper guide.
I fancy having a go at sticking as much as I can fit on my PDA and writing some software with fastwind and tabulator features to access it. But..
- How much space do all the entries take up so far?
- Is there a way to download swathes of entries that I could put onto my handheld?
- Am I allowed to do that anyway?
What do people think?
Cheers
Tom

Hi Tom. We're going to develop an AvantGo version of h2g2 which will hopefully do what you're after, but in the meantime we'd appreciate it if you didn't try to download chunks of h2g2 as an experiment! You can find out why at http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/F38453?thread=118294 Thanks - and here's hoping the AvantGo channel arrives soon. :-) Mark
