A Devilish Contraption
The preparations for the Venlo Carnaval (Limbergh, the Netherlands) go on for weeks, but the final weekend
can be divided into three main parts.
Firstly, there's the street party, with music and beer and, errm, beer.

And then it snowed, but nobody really cared.

The next part of the proceedings was the Sintjuttemisbal,
a fancy-dress ball on
Saturday night, with bands and dancing and, well, beer.
