I'm up for the walk - does the offer still stand?

The walk is still on the table, as it were!
However, I think that there should be *one* group afternoon activity, rather than two (or more), otherwise it becomes less of a h2g2 meet thing than a bunch of people all doing different stuff. So get to those voting threads!

That's an excellent point, RF. I know I will enjoy either of the choices.

RF can you post the time of the meeting point and exactly where, preferably close to a Tube station

GB, see post 23 ^^
If there is only one afternoon activity, and that is Kew, then I'll have to be counted out

I have bribed RF , and there will be two afternoon activities. It's not the first time there are two. There are quite a few people who won't make Kew, so it is great for them to have an alternative.
I hope to see you at the City Walk, h5ringer.

In the first post it says: from Bank to Holborn. I know there is an underground station of the name, but whether that is the meeting point, I don't know.

,So there will be two afternoon events?: If someone 'in the know' could pass me details on times, meeting points, etc, for this then I can place it on to the main meet page

OK, I seem to have been talked into doing the walk.
I reckon we should start at around 3pm. This will give us plenty of time, including a refreshment stop on the way...and arrive at the Shakepeare's Head in the early evening.
So, we meet at outside Bank station. Take exit 4 out of the station and we can assemble at the statue of Wellington outside the Royal Exchange. It has "Wellington" on it in big letters. If the statue you're at doesn't say "Wellington", you're at the wrong statue.
