OK. so you lot have settled on the George?: should I include about it on the main meet page?
Re:: Dress code.
I thought the dress-code of meets was fairly well established; Formal evening dress for everyone except the blokes who can wear ball-gowns if they so desire. Stockings, garters and suspender belts are recommended for all, plus of course there is a bilaw which prevents anyone entering London unless they're wearing a hat. Nudity is positively encouraged (so long as the hat wearing bi-law is adheared too).
Camosils and basques are at a wearers descretion, though useually compulsory for male formal wear.

Will a medieval suspender belt do? (Ie hose and trewes. I thought it would fit nicely with the general trend toward cross-dressing.)
I might even still have my moustache somewhere

Yes, it's the George. The Friday Fringe isn't really a main event - it's just a place for anyone arriving on the Friday to gather in the evening, like zebras around a watering hole (see post 1).
It's a lovely, historic pub with plenty of seating (but accordingly popular). 5 minutes walk from London Bridge station. It serves bar food and real ale. No formal start times, but if anyone gets there early they can try to hog a corner (or a courtyard table if it's nice).
See you there!

If you've not been to the George Inn before, then it's a little tricky to find. It's in an alleyway off the east side of Borough High Street, south of London Bridge Station.
This is as near as Google Street View goes. If you zoom in, I think it's the alleyway next to Lloyds Bank.

Don't care about the weather! I'll be praying to the gods of the transport system to keep running/stay open/have room for a little one

As most of the available seating at The George is in the courtyard, weather may be a consideration.
At the moment the Beeb are forecasting light rain showers http://news.bbc.co.uk/weather/forecast/8 ...however, given their inability to forecast their way out of a wet paper bag*, I reckon it'll be warm and sunny.

* I'm tracking the forecasts for the whole of May. So far they're not doing terribly well.

RF,
"however, given their inability to forecast their way out of a wet paper bag"
Yes, but did they forecast the bag getting wet?

That's changed from yesterday's forecast. Maybe it will change again tomorrow. 'Bring a brolly' is the best advice, I reckon.
We've managed to get space inside the George the last 2 times. I'm confident we'll manage it again.

'Bring a brolly' what - as well as all the and other stuff I'll be lugging around London? I'd rather get wet
