What a great entry. Very informative in a number of ways. Well done ... just the thing that is needed in a HitchHiker's Guide.

Thanks, Bran... I looked aloft one day (about dinner time) and beheld that there were no articles of any worth about my hometown, so I said "lo, the people of the h2g2 world doth require an entry about Melbourne, an entry that would be informative and have a virtual tour element about it going into some of the interesting parts of that grand city" and the people said... well, not much, but I'm sure if they did they would have said "whakko!" and then they would have feasted on many things from a variety of food groups and just have general warm and fuzzy feeling cause they stuffed themselves silly. It was dinner time, after all...
