You know what I really think's in Scottish football? The idea of Queen's Park playing home games at Hampden in front of less than 500 people. How strange must that be? I'd love to see it one day, especially as they let students in for £2.
If anyone would like a little more info about the Scottish lower divisions in general and Montrose in particular, there's a very funny and entertaining blog here: http://gableendies.blogspot.com/ . It's great fun just working out which teams he's talking about.

Been there done that for the 2nd Round of the CIS cup. Thing is we then went back to Hampden for the final and we managed to dig up another 6900 or so fans. Amazing!

You had cadavers as supporters????
Still, must have whipped Old Trafford for atmosphere.
Was it more or less spooky with nearly 7000 dead people in the stadium?

Stirling Albion! East Stirling's full name (as some of my colleagues who do the Sport graphics for News 24 sometimes forget) is East Stirlingshire, and their ground is in Falkirk...

I've actually been to a Queen's Park game at Hampden- they played out a terdious goalless draw with Cowdenbeath, the only bright point of which was Brian Gilfillan's ridiculous attempt to score for Cowden from his own half- an effort which ended up in a large empty stanmd approximately behind the corner flag.
The attendnace was 550, approximately 1% of the capacity- there were only two turnstiles and one block of seats open.
Thing is, the SFA have no right to stop Queen's playing at Hampden. because the thing is, Queen's actually own the ground, the SFA are their tenants. So the only fully amateur side left in the Scottish league own the national stadium. Now *that's* weird!
