"These rights and freedoms may in no case be exercised contrary to the purposes and principles of the United Nations."
So in other words, this stuff applies to everybody unless the United Nations doesn't like it. With that in mind, I guess they don't really sound like rights at all.
Personally, I prefer the Bill of Rights and the Constitution of the United States.
