Date for diary: The London Summer meet 2004.
2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side... Started conversation Mar 15, 2004
Date yet to be decided, but some time in June/July by the looks of things.
The page can be found at:
A2427013
The current 'working' title/name, for a reason I do not entirely understand is:
'The Great, Marvelous, exotically spiffing, H2G2 London Summer Meet 2004!'

Good gracious, 2legs, you have been doing this for too long already- your pages are becoming almost formulaic!
However, glad to hear things are underway. Can't wait. *beams*

Well, the first meet I helped arrange, teh winter meet; I got the page HTML from one of the previous meets, and altered that to my liking, and this time, I just copied over the HTML/guide ML over from the page I did for the last meet, and change it appropiately, and sort out a couple of gramatical errors I had on teh previous page I'll put more stuff on the page obviously as we get a date, a daytime activity, decide on daytime pub and conferm we are going to same evening pub
I could change it all into a new, exciteing radical non-traditional page layout... but it would probably be more confussing
At least this way, people who've attended meets before when Italics were arranging it, recognise my page vaguely as being about a proper* London meet, and find the 'sign up' conversation int eh right place, and the 'atendee' list where it should be
Well thats my justification for it!
Of course; you might just think me lazy and having plagerised it almost word for word from teh last meet In London in the winter page

I could but I think my bloke might just have a mini fit
I think I shall just have to resign myself to not going this year and maybe I'll be able to make the xmas one next Jan
It's not really a huge problem it's not as if it's the first one I've missed, you just know how it is when things clash and you don't have an option

Have you signed up on the meet page? A2427013; is where its at, we've not totally sorted out venues yet, but will be central London, at one pub or another, possibly a 'daytime' event of picnic in the park, Hyde park I guess, plus, quite possibly, a few from lunch tim on in a pub somewhere
the sign up thread is on the page somewhere, though I've not updated it in a while
