A Conversation for Talking Point: Microblogging

Twitter, is it American?

Post 1

Bertie

Didnt know a thing about Twitter till i saw the "talking" point article.
Still dont know a lot about it, but i can guess.
In fact i joined - but probably wont be able to use it for lack of hotmail, yahoo, or gmail accounts. Probably wouldnt want to use it either.
Microblogging - imagine a routine broken by the occasional routine holiday, the major event of the day, the possibility of a bit of road rage in the traffic jam - how interesting it would be to hear of someones life in lets say Novascotia, or Vladivostok, or Samoa.
If you are an educated interesting/interested person then that would be pure gold, wouldnt it?
Most of the conversations i have here end as soon as i put in any kind of personal detail - how very British.(perhaps i should give up trying?)
But then if im "twitter" material i wouldnt be very "British" anyway.
Lifes too serious to be taken seriously.
