This poor poem/song requires a way home. It was written by me, but I'm afraid I have neglected it. The poem needs to belong somewhere.. smiley - cry

I don't know what we've got but
We've got to take it in stride
This life is a roller coaster
And we're all strapped down for the ride

The harder it gets
The easier it seems
Think you've got it together
But you're bursting at the seams

Anyone can fall to the stars, baby
Pretending to be something they're not
Making it up, faking
We've got the chance now, let's take it

I want to fall to the stars
Straight into your arms and
I feel this love
And I hope it's Adelaide

Something has gone awry in our prism of heaven
Something I can't explain and now I feel the falling rain
We've got a long way to go but we've come so far
Once we had hopes and dreams, now I wonder where they are

Anyone can fall to the stars, baby
And come together in my name
Trying, fighting
For something that's enlightening

I want to fall to the stars
Straight into your arms and
I feel this love
And I hope it's Adelaide

Can there be time without season?
Or be rhyme without reason?
Oh, this must be Adelaide

So let's look back at us now and see what is left to be done
We looked danger in its eye, stood up tall and did not run
Sometimes we will succeed and sometimes we will fall
But if we've got the courage we can get through it all

Anyone can fall to the stars, baby
And fall in love with all with all your charms
Calling, stalling
And now our troubles have fallen

I want to fall to the stars
Straight into your arms, baby
I feel this love
And I hope it's Adelaide, baby

I want to fall to the stars
And fall for all your charms, baby
I feel this love and I
Hope it's Adelaide
It must be Adelaide

Hi Anne,

Welcome to the LPO. Happy to help you. Your poem is now safely in the Office, and will be looked after. You can read it at anytime either directly (as A642052), or through the Office, where there is a link.

It's good to see an Australian reference ... even though the meaning is not immediately apparent smiley - winkeye Good poems can be like that sometimes!

Do feel free to browse through the poems here, and make comments ... if you wish.

Keep well.
