Wasn't sure if this was the correct way to post something for this page; anyway, it's for anyone affected by the events of the 11th.
What portion of time is this
For each unnumbered dead
Which isolated perfect and engirdered minute
Split
Lined, scored in faint white
By some precision instrument
Falls to the accounted mass?
Which one, of three -
Sixty seconds,
Cut, each, into strands of fibred glass
Sparking grains
That, bedded in the touch of wondering flesh,
Gently draw blood
Is given to those in specific cities?
Where, in these exactitudes of time,
Are found the nameless, given names;
In this angered dust
There is only silence.

Jim,
My apologies for the delay in replying to you. I have been trapped in the RW for the past three weeks, and have only just returned here. I will gladly take your poem and place it in the LPO. I'll post again when the job is done - real soon, I hope.
Key: Complain about this post
