I would have bet good money that this was one of yours when I saw the title, Icy
Links to follow throughout the incubation period, right?

Thanks GB, yes, links will follow when the content settles down.
There should be plenty to link to with this one, and if you think I've missed the opportunity for a good link (as the examples are fairly arbitrary), then let me know.

How utterly superb. I am so going to make my family do this this Xmas. Stuff the children.
I was wondering where you had found the text of the speeches, and if there could be a link to that?

You know, while I was reading this I had an odd vision of the Queen browsing hootoo and then writing her speech to include all the "words to avoid", just to spite whoever's playing

Icy, it's a wonderful notion! I love it.
And what a surpassing superfluity of links! More! More!

I love this! Haven't watched the speech in it's entirety since I left home.
I have a few ideas for words which spring to mind but I like Icy's Ones to avoid

Thank you all for your comments.
I've mentioned and linked to the British Monarchy website (where you can read the historic speeches).
I've also added a few more links (for TRiG).
One thing I forgot to mention is that it reads better if you can imagine the blockquotes actually being spoken by the Queen (or someone impersonating the accent)
Keep the comments/suggestions coming.
Icy

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!
