I have related elsewhere how my Aspergers went unacknowledged for years and I was accused of being lazy, unattentive and oversensitive.
I will always have problems with it, there is no "treatment" known, and I have tried to deal with the sensitivity issues by a change in diet and caffeine consumption. Still, I do have a version of seasonal depression and some of that is involved with the holidays.
It is good that someone in the health community was capable of assigning you some good people.
I wish I had similar access. In order to gain it, I would have to produce a diagnosis prior to 1980. Aspergers was not rediscovered until 1990.

Hi TR!
It is even more difficult for Aspergers as at least Depression, anxiety, etc is called an illness, whereas Aspergers is a condition.
Sometimes doctors and others find it easier to deal with illnesses rather than conditions.

Depression and anxiety are comorbid conditions with Aspergers.

I am sorry you find yourself without a job again. I checked out your PS, and I agree about the way employers treat employees like children, then expect good work and commitment from them.
in finding something else. I skipped through your PS I am afraid, but gather you might live in America
I know of several people with Aspergers Syndrome, both children and adults, and it seems we have quite a good understanding of it here, once the condition has been diagnosed.
I hope your depression is no more than the seasonal blues, but you need to get out and about if it is not to take hold.
What sort of weather do you have at the moment. It is damp, mild and dull here, which the occasional sunny spell which is most welcome, as our Autumn seems to have come and gone in a real hurry this year.
Take care,
