A Conversation for H2G2's Musehome

And the word was...

Can I be Muse of Needlework? I knit, crochet, cross-stich and sew with varying degrees of skill. But I do love it.

No problem; I enjoyed doing it! It's a little plain, but I think it works... I needed the "therapy" - I'm currently responsible for the well-being of an extremely ill cat, and that distracted me for an hour or so... smiley - bigeyes

Any suggestions on the best way to approach the PTB, with a view to copying the GIF to the h2g2.com server?

Well, Peet, I'd bow humbly and never turn my back on them... ::shrugs:: I don't know, darling... sounds like a new language (PTB) to me!!! But I am here, and at some point, I'll comprehend that phraseology!!! smiley - winkeye

OOOo... ::shivers:: As much as I'd love to unveil your artwork right off, we can hold off... at least until we have-- let's say-- 20 or 25 members!?? We are getting close as it is...

I've also just put a post to two researchers, both of the name Zeus. I'm hoping he'll give us a visit, since he is, afterall, your daddy... if we get the great Thundergod insterested in us, that might help with the PTB(worth a try, anyway...)

What do you think, of Peet-y one!?? Oh.... and, no offense... but that picture of you on your userpage isn't that great... smiley - tongueout

Go ahead and link the link from me to you and vice versa.

Regarding making the pic available, there are a couple of researchers who have made web space available so that other researchers can store their pictures there. You e-mail them the pic and they'll put it up for you. The problem is, I can't remember who they are.

I search around and see if I can find them. smiley - smiley

If you can't find anywhere else you can try the Host A Gif scheme that some reseachers have organised - details at http://www.h2g2.com/A208478 - though the email addy given there is out of date & you should contact Pastey at http://www.h2g2.com/U45177 for up to date contact info.

h2g2 has said that users may be able to store image files on the h2g2 servers at *some* point in the future

Hokay, WM, I'll check that out later.

I was more thinking that as the file was only 4K in size, and a dozen or more researchers would be having it on their pages (hopefully) that they might find a teeny corner for it in their own on-site image directory...

smiley - smiley Thanks for the explanation, Peety!!! Well, Bob, whence you do return, we'll hopefully have Zeus located. I've started a forum in both of the pages that seem to have any actual effort put into them(ie-- an introduction is written, or at least one journal or forum entry-- Daddy must be new to h2g2, I 'spose), and I'm still waiting for a response. Zeus is a busy man, you know... smiley - tongueout

Bob, I am sure Daddy's very proud of you-- I know I am. smiley - smiley I apologize for the three sisters Fate and the way they are approaching your dear sister. smiley - sadface May her path be one of few troubles, and my your path lead you back home to us...

I'm not really here

Hi all, I have been very lazy and not read all of the backlog, but I was asked to come over and introduce myself.
I am Mina - Muse of Bondage.
How is everyone?

:-)

Post 58

RedFish ><>

Hi, im Mina, muse of Evil Doings here, how do you do?

:-)

Post 59

Witty Moniker

Hi, Mina. I'm Muse of Needlework.

So if you ever need anything pointy or long of lengths of yarn for immobilizing purposes, you can come to me!

:-)

Post 60

I'm not really here

Excellent!
Two new friends. Hi Redfish, I can imagine that you might be an inspiration to me in my capacity as Muse.
And I could use some needle skills, pointy things can be useful, but Bondage isn't always pain. (although it can be. smiley - smiley) Yarn would be most useful.
