Well, here's my entry on the RobiComb. And no, I don't work for these people nor do I own stock. I just think it's a really neato-keeno gadget. smiley - smiley

I have a feeling this entry is still lacking somehow, but I'm not entirely sure where or why. This definitely isn't meant to be a long entry -- there's no point into going into detail on lice (pediculosis, if you want the technical term) as that really needs to be its own separate entry. Nor did I want to go into all the other ways to kill lice -- none of the ones that work are nearly this cool.

So, any suggestions?

Mikey you are one WEIRD person...

If I was you I would consider adding a reasonable physical description of an R-C and explaining how it works. This would give a good factual basis to your entry, before you start going into the pros and cons.

As I am very proud to have got through the British state school system without ever having got nits (but my sister did - ha ha!) this is a strange new world for me, so I want to know if if it was goping to electrocute ME (is it mains, batteries or what?) Do they burn horribly to death? Can you smell them when they die? won't it frizzle my hair?

And just how does it prevent lice?

Urgh, I'm itching. Better leave off. Hope this helps smiley - smiley

OK, further edits have ensued, taking the above comments into account. What do people think now?

Thanks for that Mikey, although you may wish to have second go at the start of the main paragraph:

A RobiComb is a small, hand-held device, that basically looks like a small comb attached to a battery pack. Which is basically what it is, running on a single AA battery. When turned on, it backs a low humming noise.

You've got two 'small's' and two 'basically's within two lines of text. Also, do you mean 'makes' instead of 'backs'?

Once I've stopped scratching, I'd be interested to hear what anyone else thinks smiley - smiley

OK, the above corrections have been made, as well as some more general style/grammar edits. Anyone else have any comments on this itchy and scratchy entry?

What a horribly fascinating device. Are you sure you don't have shares in the company? I feel sorry for the lice - poor little guys! I had a look at the advert page and I'm convinced the thing is real and not just a figment of a warped imagination. I think it should be in the guide - if only to warn the lice. smiley - winkeye
