Like the gallery Amy. Very minimalist architecture, like all the best galleries.
RL intruding as ever. Just thought you might like to check out artchive.com
Not sure about copyright and stuff, but lots of material there.
Can I buy a postcard of that Klimt?

Thank you for your kind words Gonzo. The real gallery will feature works by h2g2 artists but I might keep a few "loaned works" in the database. Copyright is a problem.
I believe you can send the Klimt as an emailed postcard. http://www.moma.org/

Just popped in for a look round round, Amy.
I like the architecture, but I'm just a little concerned about the pastel colour scheme. It makes the signposts very difficult to read.

The signposts are in for repainting for those in Goo.

Amy - I love it. The only problem is that I could suit hitting 'reload' all day...!

I will be making the catalogue available down in the basement for those who wish to view the entire collection.

Yay gallery!!!!
Like it lots, obviously!
Since I have such a passion for museums, and was hoping to try to figure out how to set up something like this on H2G2 anyway but am confused about GuideML/HTML, would it be more useful for me to send things to you that you could use in a museum setting (like outside this gallery)--thus becoming curator chick not only in the real world, but virtually?

How nice to meet you.
I am looking for curators. I have advertised, with litle success, for a Curator of Antiquities to research and display the history of the community on h2g2 Island. Strangely, although the site only started a year ago last April, it has already become apparent that the island has a rich history going back at least as far as the last Ice Age.
Asteroid Lil (please call in at her Atelier, she would love to meet you) has suggested that I open a Waxworks because we now have several images of famous researchers. I was going to use the space allocated to the local history museum for the waxworks and then build a new floor for the history artefacts.
I'm quite happy to provide the GuideML for you to copy and paste into new entries linked to your page. Then I can link to them from the Museum.
