A Conversation for The Razor and the Curtain

Nadia & Pin,
Somewhile ago when I found out about Dadd I wandered over to Nadia's space and told her how I hated what they'd done to him.
Then I read this today, and I realise how much more I hate what they've done (and will keep doing) to others like him. And there are so many 'others' are there not? How sad - this world heading towards bleak equilibrium...
Thank you for reminding me
~ db

There is a new novel by Elizabeth McGregor titled "The Girl in the Green Glass Mirror." It is scheduled for release July 26.

The two primary characters share a passion for the work of Dadd.

Librarians must be the ultimate insiders.
(and thanks, db. Maybe it's come out more with more convinction than was intended on your point.
Personally speaking, I don't feel sure that we've got mental health treatment wrong nowadays. The only thing that's surely wrong is the certainty in some quarters that we've got it right...
...if you know what I mean)

"bleak equilibrium"
the condition i fear most.

My complaint about mental health treatment is that they try one size fits all treatments too often. And are reluctant to admit when something isn't working.
I am only an insider when it comes to prepublication notices for books. I'm a definite outsider otherwise.

And here I was just about to ask if you could shed some light on the whole "Grassy Knoll" conspiracy, and now the whole fake moon landing question will have to go unanswered as well.

Psst... it was Armstrong in Texas and Oswald in Hollywood, er. I mean, the Moon.
Oh, hello, Pin.
Gee, that evil smirk really seems uncalled for to me...

In a kings ransom of gems that is the UnderGuide, this piece shall forever remain a crown jewel. Congratulations to both of you

Unfortunately, the crown jewels of the UnderGuide are in my office and they're not for viewing by the general public
Seriously, though, Spy is right. This is a fine example of, corny as it may sound, reaching for the stars in writing and coming damn close. It'll be something that the UG can be proud of.
Thanks nadia and Pin

This is a remarkable story - both in execution and subject matter. It deserves an award to single it out. We need an Underguide Achievement Award.

Undie?
How about calling it a Nadia? Or a canary. Then we could have a Golden canary, a Silver Canary and a Bronze Canary. And we could vote you an honorary Poobah Canary.

I've got it!
They're called the Undies, and the figurine is a golden sheep.
I'll give one to both Pin and nadia. Nadia gets the bigger one because she's so much nicer to

Pinniped Posted Jul 27, 2005
You reckon that nadia would be pleased about being assigned bigger Undies than mine?
...and now let me thank you all for this wonderful and precious award, which I shall always treasure...
First of all, I'd like to thank the librarian for her kind words and of course for her precious and wonderful example to our community...
Honestly, this is so wonderful. I never imagined. I just want to say, I couldn't have done it without you, without any of you, except of course him...
