Mycroft's turn
Bagpuss Posted Dec 21, 2001
Is it something to do with their marriages? Did they all stop having, er, conjugal relations with their spouses, but not split up? Wilde's an obvious one, Einstein fell out with his missus, but I don't really know about the others.
By the way, I didn't mean to bring the previous question to an end.

This is just to say that I am following the thread avidly but can't make any suggestion better than jwf's which seems extremely likely. In books about Mycroft's better known brother it is quite candidly mentioned that said brother does coke.

Prophetic words by the look of the post above being moderated!
Actually Baggie I'm still working on that one. For you see, Rash Youth, some of us are slow. Slow and slowing still.
I think it's a family tree. All I gotta do now is prove that all the others are related to Louis XV somehow. Pope Leo would have been his great great grandfather I think. Kant was a nephew...
As for the drug addiction thing I was just taking a shot into the dark of where I guessed Mycroft's mind wandered when he saw me refusing to quit. I can hear 'im now muttering, 'Bloody Canuck pothead! How can people live like that?' and then carrying that association into his next question.
But as he loves to point out, I know him not.

I guess I'm going to get mini-biographies of all these people from participating in this thread... *sigh*

Redheads? Albert's only obvious attribute beyond being a scandalously highly paid footie was his red hair.
Colin Powell is hardly a redhead. Kant say about Emmanuel. Gina's a woman and capable of anything hair-colour-wise. Might say the same about that foppish Napoleon. And Einstein..no wait ..was it Einstein, no Jung ..ah crap I've got the two lists confused now.
And they're back a page. I give up.
I guess y'better tell us Myc.

The question is:
what connects Oscar Wilde, George Bernard Shaw, Albert Einstein, Karl Marx, Carl Gustav Jung and Shirley Temple?
Let's just have one more go - it is Christmas, after all.

So the Albert Stubbins hint wasn't for the first group?

I still don't see what's wrong with the drug addict theory. But perhaps we're not digging deep enough. Or are digging too deep.

Looks like it's time for another, final, clue...
Just in case John's still visiting planet THC, I'll re-put the whole question to avoid confusing him
what connects Oscar Wilde, George Bernard Shaw, Albert Einstein, Karl Marx, Carl Gustav Jung, Shirley Temple, Albert Stubbins and Stuart Sutcliffe?
